On Sunday, the boys visited the Mississauga Tomahawks in Mississauga. Until then, the only point that the boys had came in the form of a 9-9 tie against Brampton two games earlier. They went in looking for their first win of the 2012 season. The team could not have had a better start to the game scoring an outstanding 7 straight goals. Matt Spanger began the scoring frenzy scoring one minute into the game, two goals also coming  from Beaches newcomer Jojo Marasco (playing in his second game) and the early hat-trick from Jackson Hulbert to end the first period 7-1 for the Beaches. In the second period, the Tomahawks try to mount a comeback outscoring the Beaches in the period, but the boys stood strong to maintain their lead. Ryan MacSpadyen, Allister Warren and Gareth Gibson each scored a powerplay goal to keep the lead at 10-5 at the end of the second. The boys came out strong in the third to close out the game. Gareth Gibson scored his second goal of the game, Jackson Hulbert scored his fourth goal and Ryne Sternberg, Matt Tanner, Jordan Robertson and Joe French each scored one. The boys won the game decisively 16-8. Goaltender Michael Lalani recorded his first win. The team will play at home against the Barrie Lakeshores and try to win their second straight and possibly jump into 8th place.
