Last night was was the Beaches third home game of the regular season as they hosted the Mississauga Tomahawks. The team learned a hard lesson about playing Junior A lacrosse, any team can go into any game and come out with a win.

The game was close and right to the last second of play with both teams exchanging leads. Seven Beaches players all scored a single goal as they lost a heart breaker 8-7. Captain Jordan Robertson was not in the lineup. The Beaches were not able to register a goal in the third period which proved costly.

With a quarter of the season played, the young Beaches team are learning what it takes to win at the Junior A level. The improvement in play is evident, but the team must grow as a unit and with the guidance of Bruce Codd, Merrick Thomson and Scott Crombie, the veterans and the youngsters will undoubtedly fined their groove.

The team still needs the support of their fans however. Ted Reeve is our house and we need it to be rock’n when it comes to game time. The Beaches Boys have to know that their community is behind them! Show them that it is and get on down to the “Ted” this Thursday as they take on the Burlington Chiefs @ 8pm and BRING SOME NOISE WITH YOU!
