The Toronto Beaches Jr. A lacrosse club is very happy to announce that Garett Kikot will be joining the team as an assistant coach.

Garett will round out the coaching staff for the 2014 season that includes head coach Merrick Thomson and assistant coach/GM Scott Crombie.

Garett brings experience both as a player and a coach as well as a passion for the junior team he began his career with and the Beaches community.

His coaching experience includes leading the Malvern Black Knights to a City of Toronto high school championship as well as coaching the University of Toronto men’s lacrosse team.

After starting his career with the Beaches, Garett then played for two years at the University of Hartford, where he was named the conference rookie of the year in 2003 and a second team all-conference all-star in 2004.

Garett moved on to Bellarmine University, where he led the team in scoring in 2006. In 2007, Garett returned to Canada and played at Brock University where he helped the Badgers to a national championship and was named a second team all-Canadian.

He was drafted in the third round of the 2006 National Lacrosse League draft by the New York Titans and has played Major Series Lacrosse with the Brooklin Redmen, Kitchener Waterloo Kodiaks and most recently, the Nanaimo Timbermen.
