The Toronto Beaches Jr. A Lacrosse Club is extremely excited to announce the new additions to the coaching staff for the 2015 season.

After another season of improvements on and off the floor in 2014, the Beaches Jr. A has parted ways with Coach Merrick Thomson as he pursues other coaching opportunities. The entire organization would like to thank Coach Thomson for his work as assistant and head coach over the last three seasons.

The organization is fortunate to have someone with Coach Clark’s accomplishments as a player and coach join the team.

As a player, he was a Jr. A All-star for the Whitby Warriors. In the NLL, Glenn won 5 championships with the Toronto Rock and was a 3 time All-star. From 2007-2009, he was the Head Coach of the Toronto Rock and in 2012 was named coach of the year in the Canadian Lacrosse League (CLAX).

The Beaches Jr. A would also like to welcome two new assistant coaches that will join Coach Clark on the bench this summer, Clem D’Orazio and Carter Livingstone.

As a member of the Brock University lacrosse program from 2003-2008, Clem won 5 national championships as a player. He also played Sr. A for the Ajax-Pickering Rock. Clem graduated Brock University with a Bachelor in Physical Education and a Master of Science in Education from Medaille College.

As the Offensive Coach, Clem D’Orazio brings over 25 years of lacrosse experience and over 10 years of coaching experience to the Toronto Beaches Jr. A Lacrosse Club.  Clem is a highly respected lacrosse coach with Everest Academy, Newmarket Redbirds Minor Lacrosse Club and the U19 Team Ontario Lacrosse Club. Clem’s coaching background includes being the assistant coach with the Brock University Men’s Field team from 2009-2011, where the team won one national championship and was a finalist twice. In 2011, he was a part of the Markham Ironheads Junior B OLA coaching staff of the year. Clem has 3 years experience in Major Series Lacrosse as the head coach for the Brampton Excelsior’s Major Lacrosse Club and head coach/general manager with the Ajax Rock Major Lacrosse Club.

Carter Livingstone is a home grown lacrosse talent who began playing at the age of 4 in the Toronto Beaches Minor Organization. He played for the Beaches Jr. A until his final year of Junior A lacrosse when he was moved to Orangeville and won the Ontario Jr. A Championship. Carter was drafted by the Toronto Rock and played for them from 2000-2004 winning Champion’s Cups in 2001 and 2002. From 2005-2009, he played for the Rochester Knighthawks, Chicago Shamrox and the Boston Blazers. For the last 11 years he has coached football, basketball, hockey, lacrosse and flag football at West Hill C.I. in the Toronto District School Board.

The club is also pleased to announce the return of Assistant Coach Garett Kikot who served as the Defensive Coach last season.

The Beaches Jr. A Lacrosse Club are excited to welcome our new coaches and look forward to the 2015 season that is just around the corner.
